Michael Cole is the vice president of the Columbus City School Board seeking to serve another term in Ohio’s largest public school district.

As a resident of Columbus, Cole has involved himself with numerous endeavors supporting children, parents, teachers, and workers in education.

His goal is to strengthen student achievement and employee performance with common sense policies that foster collaboration, broader communication, and accountability. “I am dedicated to contributing to the making of our next greatest generation,” says Cole.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Michael has involved himself with numerous endeavors supporting children, parents, teachers, and workers in education. In 2011, he fought against Ohio Senate Bill 5 to preserve workers’ rights.
Additionally, he served as chairman of the advisory board for the “Village to Child After School Program” at Ohio Dominican University. Currently, he volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors at the historic J. Ashburn Jr. Youth Center in Columbus’ Hilltop neighborhood.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Cole has served on statewide advisory committees, gubernatorial transition teams and moderated key panel discussions on policy issues.

Michael is married with three wonderful children.
